Fruit Fashion Files: The Grove at the Farmers Market

Pears
Yet again, I got another invite for a cousin's birthday celebration and this time there were no screaming kids running around. Hurray! The place they picked out for the celebration was at Maggiano's Little Italy, The Grove (at the Farmers Market). Locals and tourists alike usually go to the Farmers Market to enjoy the food vendors and eateries al fresco style and if you keep your eyes peeled, you might just be able to spot some of your favorite Hollywood celebrities passing through. CBS Studios is situated right next to it so that may have something to do with the frequent celebrity sightings. No shh, Sherlock.

Farmers Market has been around since the mid 1930's and The Grove was later on added around 2002. The Grove is an outdoor mall complete with a movie theater and unexpectedly, a cable car system! The Grove also currently houses some familiar fashion names such as Michael Kors and Nordstrom as well as franchise restaurants such as Maggiano's Little Italy and Umami Burger.

While waiting to be seated at Maggiano's, I was feeling a little tourist-y so I took a picture of one of the CBS buildings. It kinda makes me wonder if one of my fave sitcoms is being shot in there as we speak...

The Grove also has a dancing fountain but I somehow managed to mess my camera settings so all the shots that I took sucked. Yea, I blame it on the c-c-c-c-camera.

The Grove/ Farmers Market is located at 3rd and Fairfax in Los Angeles. For more information, you can check The Grove website.

Anyway, enough being a tour guide...

It was a Saturday night so I picked out a simple jersey full-skirted LBD (Little Black Dress for you manly readers out there) and some metallic woven booties. I borrowed one of my little sister's black bow belt to finish off the look and...presto!

Dress: Cynthia Rowley; Shoes: Kelsi Dagger; Bag: LV Vernis

You have NO idea how hard it was for me to take a decent picture since there was always someone lurking around in the background...can you spot the big raccoon?

Toodles!
